Kia Sorento: the biggest SUV story of the month
Kia launched the Sorento on September 4, and it slots in as the brand’s new flagship petrol-diesel SUV in India. Two powertrains are on offer. A 1.6-litre strong hybrid making 238hp and 380Nm, and a 2.0-litre diesel making 202hp and 441Nm. Seven seats, and AWD is available too. Maruti Baleno facelift: the one that matters to most wallets
The updated Baleno arrived on September 5 at an introductory Rs 6.10 lakh. This is not a bumper-and-grille job. There is a new Z Series engine, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Renault Triber finally gets the engine it deserved
The Triber has always been clever packaging attached to a breathless engine. Hauling seven people uphill on 71bhp was an act of hope. That changes now. A 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 99bhp and 160Nm is coming this month, the same unit that does duty in the Kiger Turbo. The car also moves to the new RGEP platform. The old naturally aspirated engine stays on sale for budget buyers, and a turbo-CNG version has been spotted testing.
